THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE WORLD'S FIRST MUSIC TOURISM SUMMIT A SUCCESS!
-82% participants “very likely" or “likely” to do business with the other sector
-80% participants “very likely" to recommend the event (remainder "likely")
-Delegates from Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and Iceland joined attendees from Scotland and the rest of the UK on 18-19 November in Glasgow.
-Presentations, workshops, networking events, music and tours brought together music and tourism professionals for the first time.
Music tourism generates millions in revenue for a huge range of businesses, yet despite the many areas where different elements of the sectors converge, direct and strategic cooperation is relatively rare. Moreover, where companies, artists, organisations and public bodies interested in exploring opportunities, they often do not know where to turn.
Music Tourist aims to bridge this gap through a range of activities, launching its services with the world’s first international convention bringing together the two sectors. The event will focus on presenting a range of case studies where music and tourism are being successfully combined, as well as hosting workshops and networking opportunities. This will lead to the establishment of an international forum for the exchange ideas and the creation of a consultancy.
